La pubblicazione di questo articolo era prevista negli ultimi giorni dell’anno, ma il sopraggiungere di alcune riflessioni ci ha fatto rimandare. Dalla semplice informazione sulle novità previste per Dress Ecode si è trasformato in un’occasione per condividere con voi qualche pensiero.

Guardando la classifica delle ricerche più frequenti effettuate nel 2018 su Google, per deformazione professionale istintivamente la curiosità ha spinto subito a verificare la presenza di persone, temi, notizie relative all’ambiente, all’ecologia, al rispetto delle condizioni dei lavoratori o ai cambiamenti climatici: niente di tutto ciò ai primi dieci posti.

Numero 1 in due categorie: i mondiali (primi anche nella classifica italiana, più sotto la foto). Tra i personaggi, nessuno impegnato in battaglie per l’ambiente, neppure un attore come Leonardo DiCaprio. Compaiono due eventi ambientali: gli uragani Florence e Michael (sembra che le catastrofi ci risveglino sull’argomento).

Così è sopraggiunto lo sconforto e ti domandi: ha senso andare avanti a parlare di come essere più sostenibili, di cosa accada nel mondo riguardo all’ambiente, di quali passi avanti e anche di quali sfide coinvolgano il pianeta? Interessa a qualcuno? È utile? 

Se inoltre rifletti sulla difficoltà nella vita quotidiana di riuscire a portare qualche miglioramento nella tua famiglia, ecco che lo sconforto diventa il doppio… Quando trovi un muro persino in chi ti vive accanto e non riesci ad arrivare neppure a un confronto, a un piccolo cambiamento, come puoi pensare di produrre miglioramenti a livello più ampio?

La fine di un anno porta sempre un pochino a riflettere su ciò che si è seminato e per Dress Ecode coincideva inoltre con i primi 6 mesi di attività. La partecipazione e il sostegno di alcuni lettori sono un regalo arrivato in questi mesi. I ringraziamenti ricevuti da parte di qualcuno per aver portato a riflettere sull’impatto di alcuni aspetti della propria vita sono il motore per andare avanti. Pensando allo sconforto, per la scarsa diffusione dell’interesse e per la difficoltà ad apportare reali cambiamenti, abbiamo pensato di rinunciare (quante volte!). Un cambio di prospettiva però ci porta a continuare, anzi con più novità:

Se anche UNA sola persona in questi mesi ha adottato qualche abitudine più responsabile grazie al nostro impegno vale la pena di proseguire.

Per questo andremo avanti a scrivere, introducendo nuove idee. Una novità è il cambio di sito: qualcuno di voi forse avrà già notato la modifica dell’indirizzo e la pulizia del layout. Ora è possibile ritrovare in modo più semplice gli articoli per categoria. Per esempio, una sezione è dedicata a Dove acquistare, consentendo di ritrovare link a siti che abbiamo analizzato. Un’altra sezione è relativa ai Tessuti, permettendo di leggere le caratteristiche delle fibre man mano studiate.

Nei prossimi giorni, creeremo anche un gruppo Dress Ecode in Facebook, con l’obiettivo di favorire la creazione di una rete di persone che possano scambiarsi consigli, incoraggiarsi a vicenda, incontrarsi dal vivo e confrontarsi in modo più attivo sulla moda sostenibile e non solo, chiedendo e dando consigli, scambiando spunti di riflessione. Più partecipate e invitate a partecipare, più sarà possibile creare una rete diffusa. 

Due ulteriori novità sono in arrivo. Vi anticipiamo il lancio della newsletter, che vi permetterà di ricevere (in modo non invasivo, 1-2 volte al mese) consigli per il vostro guardaroba sostenibile e una sintesi delle notizie sul tema della moda responsabile e in generale della sostenibilità. Stiamo pensando anche a un piccolo regalo per chi si iscriverà.

L’altra novità arriverà più avanti e vi coinvolgeremo nel cammino fino alla realizzazione! Comporterà un impegno maggiore da parte nostra nello studio degli argomenti di moda sostenibile. Non vediamo l’ora di raccontarvi!

The publication of this article was expected in the last days of 2018, but the arrival of some reflections made us postpone. From giving simple information on the new features for Dress Ecode, it has become an opportunity to share some thoughts with you.

Looking at the ranking of the most frequent searches in 2018 on Google, for professional deformation instinctively the curiosity promptly pushed to look for people, themes, news related to the environment, ecology, respect for workers’ conditions or climate change: nothing of all this to the first ten places.

Number 1 in two categories: the World Cup (first in the Italian ranking, you can find the photo below). Among the characters, nobody engaged in battles for the environment, not even an actor like Leonardo DiCaprio. Two environmental events appear: the hurricanes Florence and Michele (it seems that the catastrophes wake us up on the subject).

So discomfort has come and you ask yourself: does it make sense to go on to talk about how to be more sustainable, what happens in the world about the environment, what steps forward and also what challenges involve the planet? Is interesting for anyone? Is useful?

If you also reflect on how difficult is in daily life an improvement in your family, here is the discomfort becomes double … When you find a wall even in those who live next to you and you can not even get to an opinion exchange, a small change, how can you think of producing improvements at a wider level?

The end of a year always brings a little to reflect on what has been sown and for Dress Ecode has coincided with the first 6 months of activity. The participation and support of some readers are a gift arrived in the last months. The thanks received from someone for having led to reflect on the impact of some aspects of their lives are the engine to move forward. Thinking of the discomfort, because of the lack of diffusion of interest and the difficulty of making real changes, we have been thinking about giving up (how many times!). A change of perspective, however, leads us to continue, indeed with more news:

If even ONE person in these months has adopted some more responsible behavior, thanks to our efforts, it is worth continuing.

For this reason we will go on writing, introducing new ideas. A new feature is the change of website: some of you may have already noticed the change of the website address and the cleaning of the layout. Now it is possible to find the articles by category in a simpler way. For example, a section is dedicated to Where to buy, allowing you to find links to sites we have analyzed. Another section is related to Fabrics, allowing you to read the characteristics of the fibres gradually studied.

In the coming days, we are going also to create a Dress Ecode’s group on Facebook, with the aim of encouraging the creation of a network of people who can exchange tips, encourage each other, meet live and deal more actively on sustainable fashion and not only, asking and giving advice, exchanging food for thought. The more you participate and invite to participate, the more you can create a widespread network.

Two more news are coming. We anticipate the launch of the newsletter, which will allow you to receive (in a non-invasive way, 1-2 times a month) tips for your sustainable wardrobe and a summary of the news on responsible fashion and sustainability in general. We are also thinking of a small gift for those who sign up.

The other news will come later and we will get involved in the journey until the realisation! It will mean a greater commitment on our part in the study of sustainable fashion topics. We can not wait to tell you!
