A lifetime of clothing: the tallest closet in the world

Do you know how many are a lifetime of clothing? Since we usually throw away the clothes we no longer use over time, do we get an idea of how many there are in total? To answer this question, in 2018 Benjamin Von Wong and Laura François came up with the idea of gathering them all in a single wardrobe, creating the tallest wardrobe in the world: in a single instant, those who look up can see a life of clothes with their own eyes. The wardrobe is different for each of us, according to the economic availability, the era, the culture. Benjamin and Laura have estimated the number of…

The factories produced clothing for well-known international global brands. From that moment on, the spotlight began to be focused on what lies behind the fashion industry. We talk about it every year because we don’t want this dramatic event to happen in vain, and to stop the repetition of tragedies like this one. 👉🏼 Challenge yourself with our  QUIZ!  You can win a gift! Upcycling: 2 workshops to create accessories and little eco-animals

Going back live to organize workshops is a real emotion, we missed it. And it doesn’t matter if the journey is long (and a bit boring) or if the weather is gray. The goal of the day is more important: to recover waste garments and fabrics by creating something new, to bring us closer to a more responsible consumption model. On Sunday 3 October, with Carlotta Redaelli, we held two workshops thanks to Mani Tese, at the Giardini in Transito in Milan: Belli capelli con l’upcycling (“Nice hair with the upcycle”) Workshop for adults to make hair accessories, turbans, headbands and scrunches by recovering waste fabrics.

Dress ECOde’s lifestyle: 20 books to inspire boys and girls to love nature
