Ciao Lavinia, quanto e cosa ti piace del vintage?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cMi piace e mi piace sempre di pi\u00f9, mano a mano che lo conosco.\u00a0<\/span>Gli aspetti che mi attraggono sono molteplici.<\/p>\r\n

Da un punto di vista prettamente estetico, reputo affascinante la possibilit\u00e0 di creare il proprio stile attingendo alla moda non solo di anni diversi, ma anche di decenni diversi. \u00c8 una mescolanza tra il meglio che \u00e8 emerso e sopravvissuto agli anni passati<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n

Un’altra valutazione, che in realt\u00e0 ho messo a fuoco in un secondo momento, ma che forse \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 importante \u00e8 in relazione a fattori etici.\u00a0In un mondo che soffoca a causa del consumismo, dello scarto, della spinta a produrre, buttare, ricomprare, inquinare, finch\u00e9 si pu\u00f2, finch\u00e9 ce n’\u00e8, senza fermarsi, senza pensare, in un mondo che va a passo svelto in questa direzione, forse \u00e8 il caso di considerare anche le altre possibilit\u00e0. Forse, non tutto ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 passato \u00e8 sempre da buttare. Forse, talvolta possiamo anche trovare il compromesso tra abbigliamento, estetica, etica, rifiuto dei rifiuti e anche vantaggio economico<\/strong>. S\u00ec, perch\u00e9 tra gli altri begli aspetti c’\u00e8 anche il fatto che si pu\u00f2 risparmiare parecchio, dai bei capi agli acquisti eccezionali<\/strong> di marchi spesso altrimenti inarrivabili\u201d.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

Concordiamo su tutte queste valide motivazioni: abbinare il meglio di ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 arrivato a noi conservandosi nel tempo, recuperare ci\u00f2 che \u00e9 passato fermando il rapido comprare-buttare che ci \u00e8 sfuggito di mano, cercare un compromesso tra necessit\u00e0 nostre e del pianeta, il risparmio economico. Speriamo sciolgano qualche resistenza. Perch\u00e9 si \u00e8 sempre in tempo a scoprire il vintage!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Per te \u00e8 sempre stata una passione o \u00e8 una recente scoperta?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cQualche anno fa, a Bologna, dovendo impiegare alcune ore libere, mi ritrovai in una stradina, di fronte alla vetrina di un negozio che esponeva abiti, scarpe e borse vintage.<\/p>\r\n

Fu un’epifania: mi ricordai di quando, da bambina, ogni estate a Roma, io e mia madre andavamo al mercato di Porta Portese<\/strong> e tornavamo sempre con qualche bel pezzo degli anni passati.<\/p>\r\n

Da quel giorno a Bologna, in cui ho riscoperto il vintage, \u00e8 risbocciato un amore<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

\u00c8 bello riscoprire una passione! Bologna e Roma offrono una buona scelta, in realt\u00e0 in ogni citt\u00e0 \u00e8 possibile trovare qualcosa di unico e prezioso! Dove acquisti di solito?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cAcquisto soprattutto in negozi secondamano che hanno un offerta di pezzi vintage e una selezione in perfetto stato di usato attuale e di qualit\u00e0.<\/p>\r\n

Negozi, fiere e mercatini. Di negozi, ce\u00a0ne sono di specializzati in abbigliamento, ma l’affare si trova spesso in quelli che hanno l’usato, non solo il vintage e non solo della categoria vestiario<\/strong>, come nel caso citato prima (Crocevia, in via Santa Croce 11,Bologna), o come nella catena Mercatopoli con vari punti vendita distribuiti in Italia,<\/p>\r\n

Lo stesso discorso pu\u00f2 valere per mercati, mercatini e fiere, se ne trovano numerosi dove vintage \u00e8 la parola d’ordine (vivendo vicino a Verona posso citare Valeggio Veste Vintage o Arsenale Vintage Market), ma tante volte anche in mercati aperti a pi\u00f9 categorie si fanno acquisti interessanti\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Cosa acquisti di solito?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cTrovo facilmente abbigliamento di qualit\u00e0 per tutti i giorni, ma talvolta anche dei capi talmente belli da essere veramente degni delle occasioni<\/strong>.\u00a0Dai pantaloni, ai cappotti, alle borse, ai maglioni in cachemire\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Scegli considerando il \u201cvalore\u201d del capo vintage?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cApprezzo il vintage ma non \u00e8 requisito minimo per entrare a far parte dell’armadio, acquisto spesso anche usato in perfetto stato. In queste occasioni ho trovato alcuni pezzi davvero belli, che hanno risvegliato il mio interesse, ma non sono ancora cos\u00ec ferrata da saperli datare autonomamente. Prendo un capo perch\u00e9 mi piace e poi dalle ricerche in un secondo momento emergono le informazioni sul suo passato.\u00a0<\/strong>Non ho mai avuto troppi problemi con la taglia, anche perch\u00e9 non parto mai con un’idea precisa di cosa sto cercando\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Quindi prima te ne \u201cinnamori\u201d e poi scopri la sua storia! Un capo\/accessorio preferito che hai trovato?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Cosa hai trovato recentemente?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cNell’ultimo episodio si \u00e8 unito alla mia squadra un maglione vintage di Versace<\/strong> ancora perfetto nonostante i suoi decenni (sar\u00e0 mai stato portato?). Verde smeraldo e maniche a pipistrello.\u00a0Insieme al maglione una borsa Love Moschino<\/strong> ben pi\u00f9 recente\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

As<\/span>coltandoti viene desiderio di mettersi alla ricerca, hai qualche consiglio da darci?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cIl consiglio \u00e8 quello di visitare spesso i negozi che raccolgono e rivendono vintage e secondhand<\/strong>. Il funzionamento \u00e8 diverso rispetto ai negozi classici che hanno i nuovi arrivi in periodi prestabiliti. In questo caso invece, il pezzo interessante pu\u00f2 arrivare da un giorno all’altro.<\/p>\r\n

L’altro consiglio, banale ma essenziale, \u00e8 di provare e verificare attentamente un capo e tutte le sue parti<\/strong> (chiusure, cerniere, cuciture). Non vogliamo brutte sorprese una volta a casa, soprattutto se \u00e8 stato acquistato in un allestimento temporaneo come nel caso di mercatini o fiere\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Hi Lavinia, how much and what do you like about vintage?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

“I like it and I like it more and more as I get to know it. The aspects that attract me are manifold.<\/p>\r\n

From a purely aesthetic point of view, I consider it fascinating the possibility of creating one’s own style by drawing on fashion not only from different years, but also from different decades. It is a mixture of the best that has emerged and survived the past years.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n

Another observation, which I actually focused on later, but which is perhaps the most important is in relation to ethical factors. In a world that suffocates because of consumerism, waste, the urge to produce, throwing away, buying back, polluting, as long as it can, as long as it’s available, without stopping, without thinking, in a world that goes at a brisk pace in this direction, perhaps we should also consider other possibilities. Perhaps not everything that has of the past is always to be thrown away. Perhaps, sometimes we can also find the compromise between clothing, aesthetics, ethics, waste refusal and even economic advantage.<\/strong> Yes, because among other nice aspects there is also the fact that you can save a lot, from the beautiful clothes to the exceptional purchases <\/strong>of brands that are often otherwise out of reach\u201d.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

We agree on all these valid reasons: combining the best of what has come to us by preserving over time, recovering what has passed by stopping the rapid buy-throw that has spun out of control, seeking a compromise between our needs and the planet, the economic saving. Let’s hope any resistance will be loosed. Because you are always in time to discover vintage!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Has it always been a passion for you or is it a recent discovery?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cA few years ago, in Bologna, having to spend a few free hours, I found myself in a small street, in front of a shop window displaying vintage clothes, shoes and bags.<\/p>\r\n

It was an epiphany: I remembered when, as a child, every summer in Rome, my mother and I used to go to the Porta Portese market<\/strong> and always come back with some nice pieces of the past years.<\/p>\r\n

From that day in Bologna, where I rediscovered the vintage, a love has sprouted again<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

It’s nice to rediscover a passion! Bologna and Rome offer a good choice, actually in every city it is possible to find something unique and precious! Where do you usually buy?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cI mainly buy in secondhand stores that have an offer of vintage pieces and a selection in perfect state of current and quality used.<\/p>\r\n

Shops, fairs and markets. Regarding shops, there are some specialised in clothing, but the deal is often found in those that have secondhand goods, not only vintage and not only the clothing category,<\/strong> as in the case mentioned before (Crocevia, in via Santa Croce 11 \u00a0Bologna), or like in the Mercatopoli chain with various points of sale distributed in Italy.<\/p>\r\n

The same can be true for markets, markets and fairs, where there are many where vintage is the watchword (living near Verona I can mention Valeggio Veste Vintage or Arsenale Vintage Market), but often also in markets open to more categories you can make interesting purchases\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

What do you usually buy?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cI easily find quality clothing for every day, but sometimes even clothes that are so beautiful that they are truly worthy of the occasion<\/strong>. From pants, to coats, to bags, to cashmere sweaters \u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Do you choose considering the “value” of the vintage garment?<\/p>\r\n

“I appreciate the vintage but it is not a minimum requirement to became an item of the wardrobe, I often purchase also secondhand in perfect condition. On these occasions I have found some really beautiful pieces, which have awakened my interest, but I am not yet so knowledgeable as to know how to date them on my own. I choose a garment because I like it and then, from the research at a later date, information about its past emerges<\/strong>. I’ve never had too many problems with the size, also because I never start with a precise idea of \u200b\u200bwhat I’m looking for”.<\/p>\r\n

So first you fall in love with it and then you find out its history! A favorite garment\/accessory that you’ve found?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cIf I can refer to a secondhand but not officially vintage piece, perhaps a black Prada trench coat<\/strong>. Beautiful timeless.\u00a0(Below the photo<\/em>)<\/p>\r\n

What did you find recently?<\/p>\r\n

“In the last episode, a vintage Versace sweater<\/strong> that was perfect despite its decades (has it ever been worn?) joined my team. Emerald green and batwing sleeves. Together with the sweater a much more recent Love Moschino bag<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Listening to you, we just want to hunt for vintage items, do you have any advice to give us?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u201cThe advice is to visit often the shops that collect and resell vintage and secondhand<\/strong>. The operation is different compared to the classic stores that have new arrivals in pre-established periods. In this case instead, the interesting piece can arrive from one day to another.<\/p>\r\n

The other advice, banal but essential, is to try and carefully check a garment and all its parts<\/strong> (closures, hinges, seams). We do not want nasty surprises once at home, especially if it was purchased in a temporary setting such as in the case of markets or fairs\u201d.<\/p>\r\n
