Eco Fashion Labels: the online platform that aims to put sustainable and ethical fashion in front of fast fashion

Eco Fashion Labels is a marketplace dedicated to brands that promote a more responsible fashion. To better understand what they propose and how it is possible to join, we met Mathilde Vaddé, co-founder of the project. What kind of brands do you feature? How many are there? “Our platform features more than 60 brands with different values: vegan (PETA too), fairtrade, recycled, upcycled, bio, organic, with many certified GOTS and Oeko-Tex brands. We are working to include second hand as well”. To be included, do the brands have to match certain criteria? If yes, which are they? “We only accept sustainable and ethical fashion brands that offer fair wages and…

I have been using this app for some time, together with another competitor wide known abroad, to help reduce food waste. The idea is to connect users with businesses that offer unsold…

The impact of leather and tanneries: what we don’t know and who is inside is scared of telling us

When I saw DW’s documentary on the dark side of fashion-luxury, I was sick for several days. It’s a punch in the stomach. I wanted to write about it in an article, but to do it in the best possible way I wanted to involve Francesco Gesualdi who in that documentary tells of a report made on leather and tanneries, hindered in several ways. With the aim of spreading what emerged even to those who do not have the patience to read the report to the end, I asked for his help to highlight the most relevant points, what we need to know: it is too important to be ignored…

From the collaboration between two brands, Biclot and earthncycle, the unique SEMINA collection is born, combining modular garments with clean and elegant shapes to the vision of our Earth through the eyes of space satellites. Stile Biologico and Shari Fontani: in the beauty of a dress, slow fashion and cinema meet, launching a message

A dress. It is not just cloth or fiber. A dress says something about the person wearing it. Not all. But much. A created dress reveals something about the person who made it. Not all. But much. A dress can communicate a message of a group of united people who in unison agree on values in which they believe. We join this chorus, sharing the photos and the story of a dress in this article, out of editorial programming. Because when the letter that I will shortly share with you arrived, I immediately wanted to add our voice to that of those who, creating, wearing, photographing, weaving and doing their…

Peterson+Stoop’s sneakers: when repair becomes high fashion

Meeting Peterson+Stoop allows us to reflect upon a very important aspect regarding waste in the fashion industry. In Italy the shoe business is predicted to grow over 3.4% between 2020 and 2025. According to a report of the Italian Institute of Research Eurispes, 37% of Italians purchases a new pair of shoes every 3 months, noteworthy numbers that make us understand how important is talking about the production and consumption of shoes in a more sustainable way.
